Well, just be grateful you’re not a chicken in America today.
That’s because 1.3 billion chicken wings will be eaten today during the Superbowl celebrations.
Here’s another interesting fact related to excess.
The Malaysian prime minister was recently cleared of wrong doing after being gifted $681 million into his personal bank account by the Saudi government.
He was cleared by the attorney general because it was ‘personal donation’, and it’s apparently it’s’ nobody’s business what he was given the money for.
Imagine, if Malcolm Turnbull or Bill Shorten received that amount of money as a personal donation from another country.
We’d be storming Parliament house with pitch forks! There political career would be over.
Yet this guy’s staying on.
Interestingly he returned $620 million of it – after being found out! – because he said he not ‘utilised it’.
Come on, show some imagination! A new jet? A tropical island luxury resort? Your own personal sky scraper.
You’ve only found ‘use’ for $60 million – you can do better than that.
Frankly, I am worried how he’ll survive with cost of living being what it is today.
Anyway, it just goes to show that despite our recent ‘musical chairs’ in the top job, Australia is relatively well governed by world standards.
The boondoggles and junkets our politicians receive are ‘amateur hour’ compared to this guy.
So that’s something to be grateful for.
Here’s an event that can help you potentially receive your own profit windfalls – even if you don’t get secret donations from Saudi oil barons….
