A fascinating story in Domain recently about how a guy lost an $800,000 view due to a cunning (and dastardly) neighbour.
This was this Kiwi guys view…
And this was his view after his neighbours built a ‘fort playground’ with high walls.
Ouch. That’s got to hurt.
The guy who built the ‘fort playground’ did it to get around council rules about building a high fence.
And this one move was said to have knocked about $839,000 of the price of the ‘view blocked’ property.
Luckily for the owner a judge ruled that the ‘fort builder’ was out of order, and he’s been forced to knock it down.
If only this guy used his creative powers for good rather than evil.
Speaking of which, at Todd Polke’s new Property Wealth event…he’s going to reveal how one couple did a creative development of their investment property.
And it’s allowing them to get positive cashflow yields of up to 8%+ – even though it’s only 30 minutes or so from a major capital city CBD.
